The Lute Olson Fund for Excellence in Men's Basketball has been established to help recognize Coach Olson and generate support for Arizona Basketball.

The Arizona Athletics Department has decided to honor Coach Olson by recognizing his accomplishments through this fund and ensuring that future Wildcat basketball players have the best collegiate experience in the country. This fund not only preserves Coach Olson's legacy at The University of Arizona, but also builds the foundation for future success under Head Coach Sean Miller.

The first $100,000 received for the Lute Olson Fund will be deposited immediately into an endowment and another portion will be used for the immediate needs of the men's basketball program. This funding will help support locker room renovations, heritage and tradition updates, weight room equipment, and office technology necessities to name just a few.

Arizona Athletics is asking all those touched by Lute Olson's life and career to help recognize "Coach O" with a tax-deductable donation to this fund. Any gift commitment, large or small, is much appreciated and contributions of $5,000 or more are payable over five years.
